Varicose Veins
Varicose Veins are enlarged or twisted veins, usually on the legs. Varicose veins form when the tiny check valves in the vein stop functioning correctly . The valves are supposed to keep blood from flowing backward in the vein due to gravity.
When they fail, the result can be an unsightly protruding vein or pain in the leg due to increased pressure below the malfunctioning check valves. These conditions will not get better without treatment. Untreated veins can lead to serious complications, so call us today.

Varicose Vein Treatment
Luxe has the best technology for treating varicose veins. We use an Angiodynamics EVLT 1470 with gold-tipped laser fibers, which is the industry standard for excellence. This allows us to enter the vein with an extremely small laser head and fix the vein quickly.
We use the laser to seal off each malfunctioning valve, forcing the body to use other veins to bring blood back to the heart. Don’t worry, you have plenty of veins, and closing a few is harmless to your circulatory system.
Once the veins are closed and sealed off by the laser, your body will use alternate return paths for blood circulation, through veins that have functioning valves.
The varicose vein will return to normal size (or smaller) nearly immediately, and there will be no visible sign of varicosity after the treatment. It usually takes about 30-45 minutes to treat one vein.
Prior to treatment, we will use an ultrasound machine to identify each malfunctioning valve. We can watch the blood flow in the vein and precisely target the malfunctioning valves with our laser equipment. We use GE LogiqE ultrasound machines before, during, and after the procedure to check for proper valve function. The best part about all this great technology is that your insurance will cover the procedure and you don’t pay any extra for it.
Why Laser Treatment for Varicose Veins?
Laser treatment has been shown to be the best way to treat varicose veins. It is less invasive and more effective than vein stripping or RF treatments.
At Luxe, Dr. Banker performs all of our laser varicose vein treatments. He is so good at laser treatment that Angiodynamics even sends doctors from all over the country to train under him at our attached training facility here at Luxe when they purchase new laser equipment.
We’re happy to show you around the training center and go over all the details at a free consultation. Call us at 419-893-2775 for more details.
What is the Cost of Varicose Vein Treatment?
Usually, treatment is covered by insurance and you are only responsible for your copay or percentage of your insurance plan.
If you do not have insurance, or if your insurance will not cover the procedure, we will work with you to find a solution.
Treatment of varicose veins is important, and letting it go will result in further medical issues.
